(it may be cutting out at load as it could far surpasses that upper limit (125W AMD FX CPU's can pull upto 140W at load) and a game will cause the CPU to ramp up to full power state) and as it will trigger a violent response to prevent the board Burning the VRMS its a good possibility that its the cause (Either a VRM thermal shutdown that it sounds like so it just cuts off the power or a throttling of clocks)!
